Amazing house in Bonanova
400 m² · 289 m² terrace · 459 m² plot · 5 rooms · 4 bathrooms · parking lot · swimming pool
Beautiful house of 443 m² is located in Bonanova.
The house dates from the late 1800s, with a remodel in 1936. Having undergone a complete renovation in the mid-1990s to restore its original character.
It is a house with a very square floor plan with two façades in the Noucentista style, one on the street and the other on the large garden. It is arranged on two floors plus a basement and has an accessible but non-passable flat roof with skylights, which was fixed a year ago. Another great highlight of this house is the fantastic 289 m² garden with a first paved and gravelled area, several chill-out areas, pergola, outdoor table, century-old trees and a modern micro-cement swimming pool with salt water; a true outdoor space that invites you to enjoy a well-deserved rest in the heart of Barcelona.
The ground floor, with solid parquet floors, measures 170.10 m². Here we find a garage of about 25 m² with capacity for a car and a motorcycle, and in front of the ford, on the street, you can park another car. A pedestrian access leads us to the hall, which has practical closets on both sides. One of the closet doors connects directly to the garage, while in the closets on the right is the boiler for radiator heating and hot water. The rest of the cabinets are wardrobes.
From the hall we went to a spacious hall with a sofa, flanked by two Doric columns and a two-leaf glass door. High ceilings, the open view of the garden through the living room and the wide staircase stand out in the hall, the centerpiece of the floor. To the left of the lobby is the spectacular and spacious 19.50 m² kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows that maintains the warm and classic air of the house. Highlights include showcase and wood cabinets with curtains that hide the laundry area, white painted wooden furniture, functional and modern appliances, cream and dark gray checkerboard flooring, and high ceilings with exposed wooden beams painted in White. The great protagonist of the kitchen is the antique chandelier on the wooden table for 10 people, along with the fireplace in perfect working order.
In the passage from the kitchen to the formal dining room, go down the stairs to the basement. The formal dining room has views of the garden to the southeast through the large window and in turn communicates with the living room (the showcase doors between both spaces have been removed, but remain in the garage), also with views of the garden and with exit to it from the central balcony.
The warm and comfortable living room invites you to relax and read, as well as pleasant conversations with family or friends in front of the fireplace. It is a space with two rooms that is delimited by two Doric columns to highlight both areas.
Returning to the lobby, we can go up to the mezzanine by a staircase where you can see the entire living room, since it has a large window. On the landing, above the garage area, we find this 18 m² space with small windows to the street. The distributor opens onto a courtesy toilet and a service or guest bedroom with its own closet and bathroom.
The upper floor, also 170.10 m², has a sloping roof with exposed beams and a skylight. The area next to the street facade is lower (2.15 m²), which is why it stands out for its attic air; on the other hand, on the garden façade the ceilings are higher. This floor has carpeted floors.
A central living room with skylights gives way to a bedroom on the street with a dressing room and an office on the street with another dressing room (which could also be used as a bedroom). On the garden facade we have two double bedrooms, one with a built-in wardrobe and the other with a dressing room; both share a spacious bathroom with skylights, which were originally two bathrooms. Finally, also on the garden façade, there is the large master bedroom with a double bathroom with skylights on the ceiling, double sink, shower and bathtub. In the bedroom space we have two dressing rooms and a fireplace.
Finally, there is the basement, which we access from the ground floor by an ele-shaped staircase. It is a vaulted floor with two skylights that provide great natural lighting, and stands out for its almost 5-meter ceilings. The basement is divided into two spaces connected to each other. The first is a 29 m² space located next to the staircase, with three arcades that provide two rooms, a beamed ceiling and Catalan vaults, three steps and a wall with arched openings that leads us to the second space, this 39 m² with a vaulted roof and with skylights. In the background, on the right wall, the access to the 8.5 m² cellar was covered, but it is easily recoverable.
